........ but fortunately I didn't have to climb them, just wonder how anyone manages to walk in these heels!!
first stop this morning was at the Town Hall, which is undergoing major restoration work. I love the way they have covered the scaffolding on the right with illustrations of the building
this photo shows the erosion on the stonework
and this shows the new piece
click on the photo to enlarge it to read about the work
our next stop was at the Queen Victoria Building, for a spot of (window) shopping. It was hard to take photos of the outside because of the crowded pavements, but these two photos give you an idea of the grandeur of the building
and the inside is equally stunninng
and wouldn't the pattern of these floor tiles make a fabulous quilt!
after ooohing and aaahing over all the gorgeousness in the shops, of course we had to have a cuppa. These scones, with cream and blueberry jam, are intended for one person - needless to say we shared them!
once we had recovered from the scones, we headed down to Darling Harbour, to join lots of people, and even more seagulls, for some lunch in the sun
this seagull stood in front of us, patiently waiting for a scrap
we spent a lazy afternoon at the apartment, sitting in the sun on the balcony reading. Then it was back to Darling Harbour for dinner, and some more playing with the camera in the dark
