A few days ago, Cassie asked me about my studio doors. Any photos I have are in my archives om my external hard drive, so I thought it would be quicker to just take a couple of photos on Tuesday. When I went out to take a photo of the back doors, I realised that there was enough sun to give shadows, so I thought I would kill two birds with one stone. I pushed the door shut, and took this photo
So far, so good! Then, I went to go back into the studio and ........ if you look carefully, you will see there is no door handle on the outside! Yes, that door can only be opened from inside the studio. This left me with two choices ...... I could walk all the way round our neighbours' stable and house, out on to the road, along the road, and back into our garden - or, I could climb over the gate
Why didn't I just open the gate ...... for the very simple reason that the bottom bolt can't be undone from the outside
Having safely negotiated climbing the gate, I was able to finish taking the photos!

the back doors
a last shadow from the gate
