Hooray - I have finished the first knitting project. I didn't find the instructions for the knitting particularly good, and the making up instructions were very brief ....... if I didn't sew, I doubt if I would have understood how to make the lining. The stiffener I used could have been stiffer! If I was making another one, I would use an iron-on stiffener, as the basket won't stand up properly. However, it looks good - and what else could I put in it than some of my stash!
Yesterday I photocopied the pattern for the second project, so it is ready to start when I finish my post
I also need a cable needle, but I don't keep them with the other needles in the studio, they lurk somewhere in the bottom of this project bag, which I keep in my knitting basket in the lounge
I may have used some of my stash, but I have to confess that I added to it on Saturday - well, could you have resisted buying all this for £2.50 in a charity shop!
I was also a very bad girl last week - I made the mistake of not instantly deleting an Amazon email. You know those ones when they say 'you bought that book, so we think you'll like this book' ........ somehow the cursor strayed over the 'one click' button and oh dear, I clicked on it. In my defense, the book was on special offer and the P&P was free ...... and I have been drooling over the socks since it arrived this morning
I also did some sewing at the weekend. I had been going to say that I finished the Angel wallhanging, but when I looked at the photo earlier, I realised that I have still to put a bow in her hair!
It was very wet and windy this morning - this was the view from the lounge
However it dried up and brightened up after lunch - just in time for me to head off to the dentist! I had the next set of impressions done (most unpleasant). Never mind, it will all be worth it when I have my smile restored!
