I may have mentioned before that I love notebooks and journals, so when I wanted to practise my lettering this afternoon, I had no trouble finding a book to use ......
I borrowed Malcolm's calligraphy set, which includes this helpful booklet
For my first effort, I don't think this is too bad!
I didn't do quite so well on the next page - my 'Y' is back-to-front!
Our names were straightforward
When it came to the next page, I found it hard to keep using the slow deliberate strokes to form the letters, and not lapse into my normal scrawl!! As for the sentences - the first one contains all the letters of the alphabet, and is an aid to learning to type, and the second one uses right and left hand alternatively in a lot of the words - good practice for someone like me who is strongly righthanded and tends to transpose letters as the right hand types quicker!!
By the time I finished, I had managed to get as much ink on me as on the paper
When we were busy making dinner, there was a slight pause as we went outside to see the wonderful sunset ..... the photos don't need any captions!
